Job Opportunity: Bookkeeper - Hospitality Background
Location: Northern Suburbs, Johannesburg
Salary: R20,000 – R25,000 Neg CTC (Doe)

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain financial records up to the trial balance for a premier restaurant.

• Process financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.

• Manage payroll processing, including tips and overtime.

• Conduct bank reconciliations and cash flow management.

• Prepare and review financial statements and reports.

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and hospitality-specific financial guidelines.

• Communicate financial insights and budgets with management.

• Track expenses, and vendor payments, and maintain accurate records.

• Support inventory management and cost control initiatives.

Requirements:

• Diploma or certificate in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance.

• 3-5+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
