Specialist - Upmarket LUXURY furniture, SALES & DESIGN

Location Midrand Gauteng

Salary: R18 000 – R20 000 Basic / Neg (DOE) CTC + Lucrative TOP Tier Commission's

Seeking a skilled Interior Designer and Sales Representative, bringing together creativity and commerce. Design elegant, functional spaces while guiding clients in selecting premium furniture that elevates their interiors within the Commercial and Home Industry. The role bridges design vision with sales strategy, ensuring every project is both aesthetically refined and commercially successful.

Requirements

  • Education: A Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Design software proficiency: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), and 3D rendering tools.
  • Sales knowledge: Understanding of luxury/upmarket furniture brands, product specifications, and client needs.
  • Communication skills: Strong interpersonal ability to liaise with clients, vendors, and contractors.
  • Portfolio: Demonstrated creativity and technical ability through past projects.
  • Industry knowledge: Awareness of design principles, trends, building codes, and ergonomic standards.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in design or sales, ideally in high-end/luxury retail or design firms.
  • Product knowledge, CRM tools, Sales reports, client accounts
  • Social media awareness - keeping up to new trends.

Duties

  • Creating design plans, layouts, and presentations.
  • Conduct site visits: Measure spaces, assess conditions, and gather data for design projects.
  • Prepare drawings: Produce sketches, CAD layouts, and 3D renderings.
  • Client collaboration: Present selected top tier furniture as part of design solutions, advise on furniture recommendations and selections, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Sales representation: Promote and sell premium furniture, meet sales targets, and build client relationships.
  • Advise on product selection and close sales
  • Project documentation: Prepare specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
